Application

Engineered for the most demanding environments, the Type 241 Mining Cable is a heavy-duty, flexible reeling and trailing cable primarily used in underground mining operations. It is designed to meet stringent safety and performance requirements for powering mobile equipment.

  • AS/NZS 5000.1

Construction

  • 3x Conductors: Flexible stranded tinned annealed copper conductor
  • Conductor Screen: Semi-conductive compound (≥ 3.3/3.3kV and above)
  • Insulation: EPR
  • Insulation Screen: Semi-conductive elastomer
  • Cradle Separator: Semi-conductive PCP
  • Overall Core Screen: Semi-conductive PCP filling and covering
  • 3x Interstitial Earth Conductor: Semi-conductive PCP covered flexible stranded tinned copper conductor
  • 1x Central Extensible Pilot: EPR covered flexible stranded tinned copper conductor
  • Textile Reinforcement: Open-weave braid reinforcement
  • Sheath: Heavy duty PCP sheath (Heavy duty CPE/CSP Optional)
