Overview

Application

This highly specified Three Core Triplex cable is engineered for demanding underground power distribution applications. The primary application is as a high-reliability Medium Voltage (MV) feeder cable for underground power distribution networks, particularly in Australia and New Zealand where it conforms to AS/NZS 1429.1. It is designed to deliver three-phase power from main substations to local distribution points, or to supply power to major industrial, commercial, and utility sites.

Construction

  • Conductor: Class 2 stranded (compacted) copper/aluminium wire
  • Conductor Screen: Semi-conductive compound material
  • Insulation: XLPE insulation – Colour: Natural
  • Insulation Screen: Semi-conductive compound material
  • Binder Tape: Semi-conductive water blocking binder tape
  • Metallic Screen: HD-Plain annealed copper wire (optional: LD)
  • Wrapping Tape: Non-woven tape (Non-hygroscopic)
  • Outer Sheath: 5V-90 PVC (optional: HDPE/LSZH) – Colour: Black
