Description:
The Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) is composed of a central core of galvanized steel wires—either solid or stranded—surrounded by one or more layers of concentrically stranded aluminum wires. This structure combines the high conductivity of aluminum with the superior tensile strength of steel, making ACSR ideal for long-span overhead transmission and distribution lines.
Application:
ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) conductors are widely used in long-distance electrical power transmission due to their excellent strength and conductivity, making them ideal for extended overhead line spans. In addition to power transmission, ACSR conductors are also commonly used as messenger wires to support overhead electrical cables in distribution systems.
