Overview

Application

Our 64/110kV HV power cables represent a premium solution for extra-high voltage power transmission requirements. These cables fall into the category of EHV XLPE insulated power cables and serve as a core product for 110kV EHV power transmission networks, effectively replacing overhead lines of the same voltage class for underground/tunnel laying in urban power grids, industrial parks and cross-regional transmission projects. Featuring large transmission capacity, excellent insulation performance, strong anti-environmental interference capabilities and minimal floor space requirements, they are widely deployed in overhead-to-underground transformation of main power grids, cross-sea/river transmission applications, and power grid construction in urban core areas.

Applicable Standards

  • AS/NZS 1429.1: Electric cables – Extruded insulated single-core metallic screened cables for working voltages up to and including 19/33 (36) kV
  • IEC 60840: Power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for rated voltages above 30 kV (Um = 36 kV) up to 150 kV (Um = 170 kV)
  • AS/NZS 1660.3: Test methods for electric cables, cords and conductors

Construction

  • Conductor: Circular Stranded Compacted Conductor (≤800mm²), Milliken Conductor (>800mm²)
  • Conductor Screen: Super Smooth Semi-Conductive Compound
  • Insulation: Super Clean Cross Linked Polyethylene (XLPE)
  • Insulation Screen: Super Smooth Semi-Conductive Compound
  • Binder Tape: Semi-Conductive Tape
  • Metal Sheath: Corrugated Aluminum Sheath/Lead Sheath/Aluminum Laminated Tape
  • Anti-Corrosive Layer: Cable Asphalt
  • Outer Sheath: Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or Polyethylene (PE)
  • Conductive Layer: Graphite
  • Optional: Copper Wire Screen, Metal Wire Screen
