Application

A robust and flexible solution for demanding mining environments, the Type 2S Mining Cables are highly versatile, rubber-insulated solutions designed for dynamic applications, including the internal wiring of machines and inter-machine connections. Renowned for their superior flexibility and durability, they are also a preferred choice for specialized longwall lighting circuits. These cables are configurable with various cores, such as dedicated pilot, control, or twisted pair and screened cores, ensuring both reliable power delivery and stable signal transmission.

Construction

  • Conductors: Stranded tinned annealed copper conductor.
  • Insulation: EPR.
  • Filling: Elastomer centre filler.
  • Pilot/Control Cores: EPR covered and composite screened flexible stranded tinned copper conductor.
  • Individual/Collectively Composite Screen (earth conductor): Tinned annealed copper braiding interwove with polyester yarn.
  • Sheath: Heavy duty CPE sheath.
  • Variants: Type 2S Individually Screened, Type 2S Collectively Screened
